As speculated, indices at the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) rose today with Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s victory at the presidential election.
The All Share Price Index (ASPI) was up 1.7 percent or by over 102 Index Points to 6125.32 as at 1.45 p.m. while the more liquid S&P SL20 was up 2.03 percent or 60.77 points to 3074.29.
The market turnover was Rs.1.84 billion, significantly up from this year’s average turnover.
