More than 60,000 curfew violators arrested so far

A total of 660 individuals have been arrested for violating curfew orders during the last 12 hours ending at 6.00 am today (20).

 

Meanwhile, 256 vehicles were also taken into custody during this period.

The Police said 60,425 persons have been placed under arrest for violating the curfew since March 20 and 16,924 vehicles have been seized.

In addition, 17,193 cases pertaining to curfew violations have been filed so far.

Sri Lanka Police has warned of strict legal action against people caught violating the quarantine curfew regulations.
