New Ministers sworn in

Several new Cabinet Ministers have been sworn in before President Maithripala Sirisena today (07) at the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo.

Accordingly, former Speaker and UPFA MP Chamal Rajapaksa has been appointed as the Health Minister while Pavithra Wanniarachchi is the new Petroleum Minister.

UPFA MP S.B. Dissanayake has been sworn in as the Minister of Highways and Road Development.

  • Chamal Rajapaksa has been sworn in as the Minister of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine
  • S.B. Dissanayake has been sworn in as the Minister of Highways and Road Development
  • Pavithra Wanniarachchi has been sworn in State Minister of Petroleum Resources Development.

Meanwhile, H. M. P. Hitisekara has been appointed as the President’s new Chief of Staff, reports President’s Media Division. He had received his appointment letter  from the President this evening.
