Approval has been granted by the Cabinet previously to explore the possibility of providing long term loan facilities with concessionary terms for the Product Design Engineering Companies (PDEC) to design the products locally and internationally, prototyping and commercializing through the loan schemes which are being implemented under the ‘Enterprise Sri Lanka Programme’ and to pursue action accordingly.
As such, the proposal made by Hon. Mangala Samaraweera, the Minister of Finance and Mass Media, to implement a new loan scheme to provide concessions for the Companies which initiate Mechatronics enabled Economic Development , was approved by the Cabinet.
