Former Minister of Health Dr. P.N.B. Cyril died Yesterday after a temporary elevator installed outside his home to attend to repairs to the third floor of the building at Siribopura in Hambantota, collapsed with the minister and his driver inside.
Police said the former minister who received serious injuries was admitted to the General Hospital, Hambantota and later transferred in critical condition to the Karapitiya Teaching Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
