Radiographer at Apeksha Hospital arrested for locking two nurses inside radiology room

A Radiologist at the Apeksha Cancer Hospital in Maharagama has been arrested for the forceful detention of two nurses.

Police Spokesman, Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Ajith Rohana said two Radiologists had forcefully detained two nurses inside the Radiology room for nearly one hour.

The two nurses had filed a complaint with the Maharagama Police two days ago on the incident.

Investigations had revealed that the two Radiologists had forcefully locked up the two nurses inside the Radiology room for an hour.

The Maharagama Police had conducted investigations and had arrested one Radiologist involved in the incident. He will be produced in Court today.

The Police are continuing investigations to arrest the other Radiologist involved in the incident.

DIG Ajith Rohana said charges will be filed against the two Radiologists on forceful detention and for attempting to detain the nurses in a place that could cause harm to their health.
