Public Private Partnership for the construction of Public Buildings – Prime Minister

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, in his capacity as the Minister of National Policies and Economic Affairs draws the attention of the government has been drawn to investigate the possibility of obtaining private investments for the construction of Government Buildings. Accordingly it has been proposed to PPP Process for the construction in Health, Education, Higher Education, Skill Development and Vocational Training sectors.

In this process, the building will be constructed in a Government land by the private investor and it will be transferred to the government after 10-20 years. Until then the maintenance of t building will be will be carried out by Public Private Partnership and the government will pay
