Namal informs court that he is travelling to Malaysia

Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa notified the Colombo High Court today (November 26), that he will be travelling to Malaysia. He issued the relevant notification to court, based on a condition which had been imposed on him by the court.

Colombo High Court Judge Pradeep Hettiarachchi postponed the further examination of the court case filed by the Attorney General against 5 defendants including Namal Rajapaksa and Govers Corporated Services, till the 10th of February next year.

The Attorney General had filed the case under 11 indictments for committing offences which come under the Money Laundering Act, over alleged misappropriation of Rs. 30 million which had occurred during a transaction which had taken place between Govers Corporated Services and another company.
