Prince William joined New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern at an Anzac Day service at the War Memorial Museum in Auckland this morning.
The Duke of Cambridge is in New Zealand for a two-day visit to commemorate wartime soldiers, where he laid a wreath and asked for a moment of silence for those affected by the attacks in Sri Lanka and Christchurch.
Thousands attended the service to pay their respects, among heavy police presence.
Prince William is scheduled to fly to Christchurch this afternoon to visit survivors of last month’s mosque attacks, where a gunman killed 50 people on March 15 during Friday prayers.
He will be attending the Al Noor Mosque and the Linwood Islamic Centre, as well as meeting first responders, Muslim leaders and survivors of the attacks.
It is not the Prince’s first visit to New Zealand.
He visited Christchurch after the deadly 2011 earthquake, which killed 185 people, and again in 2014, alongside wife Kate Middleton and their first son, Prince George.
