A woman has been arrested while in possession of an illegal stock of 15,000 beedis at the 6th mile-post, Wanathavilluwa.
Police noted that the 45-year-old woman was arrested while inspecting a bus travelling from Mannar to Colombo.
The woman was released on a bail of Rs. 100,000 after being produced before the Puttalam Magistrate Court.
