A wall at the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic had collapsed due to heavy rains in Kandy on Wednesday.
Our correspondent reported that a portion of the wall extending up to 100 metres had collapsed due to heavy rains.
The relevant units including the department of archaeology have been notified about the incident, the temple’s chief lay custodian said.
