The police announced that vehicle travel along the Colombo-Hanwella route will be limited from 10.00 pm today (August 17) to 1.00 am tomorrow (August 18).
The restriction is due to the annual Esala perahera of the Nawagamuwa Sri Paththini Devalaya. The police request the general public to make use of alternative routes during this time period.
