Vegetable prices have risen due to inclement weather

The inclement weather experienced across the country over the past few weeks has had a direct impact on the prices of vegetables in the market.

 

The traders association of the Dambulla Special Economic Center noted that the prices of vegetables have increased by 50%. Chairman of the association  Shantha Ekanayake notes that vegetable farmers have been severely inconvenienced by the extreme weather.
