Two individuals, a male and a female, who were engaged in dealing Heroin in Wanawasala, Peliyagoda have been arrested.
According to the police, they were arrested while they were transporting Heroin in a three-wheeler.
The duo were arrested based on a tip-off received. The suspects were in possession of 51.01g of heroin.
The 22 and 23-year-old suspects are residents of Peliyagoda and Colombo 10.
They are to be produced before the Aluthkade Magistrate court today(October 20).
