Showers will occur at times in Western, Sabaragamuwa, North-western and Central provinces and in Galle and Matara districts, stated the Meteorology Department.
Fairly heavy showers above 75 mm can be expected at some places in these areas.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at a few places in Uva and Eastern provinces and in Mullaitivu district during the evening or night.
Fairly strong winds up to (40-50) kmph can be expected in the western slope of central hills and in Hambanthota district.
General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
