TID arrests two men for spreading extremism

Two individuals have been arrested by the Terrorism Investigation Division (TID) for spreading extremist ideologies.

One of them was taken into custody in the Matale area. Reportedly, he was engaged in collecting funds for terrorist activities.

In the meantime, the other suspect who was arrested in Batticaloa was identified as a close associate of ringleader of Easter Sunday terror attacks Zahran Hashim.
