Sri Lanka’s Covid-19 death toll hits 40

04 COVID-19 deaths were reported in Sri Lanka on Tuesday (10), said the Department of Government information.

According to the Director-General of Health Services the details of the 04 victims are as follows;

01. A 51-year-old male who was a resident at a home for the elders in Rajagiriya. He was admitted to the Colombo National Hospital on the 07th of November 2020 and had passed away thereafter. The cause of Death was ruled as COVID-19 related pneumonia.

02. A 45-year-old male from Colombo 10 was admitted to the Colombo National Hospital on the 23rd of October 2020 and had died in hospital. The cause of death was ruled as COVID-19 related respiratory infection.

03. A 63-year-old woman from Udugampola, Gampaha and was admitted to the Gampaha District Hospital on the 09th of November 2020 where she passed away. The cause of death was ruled as COVID-19 related pneumonia.

04. An unidentified male between the age of 55 – 60. The body was subject to a postmortem examination on the 08th of November 2020 and it was revealed he was exposed to COVID-19. The cause of Death was ruled as COVID-19 infection.

According to the Director-General of Health Services, the COVID-19 death toll in Sri Lanka rose to 40, said the Department of Government Information.
