The Department of Meteorology says in an announcement that there will be little rain in the northe and easte provinces.
The announcement also states that rain or thundershowers may occur in a few places in Sabaragamuwa province and Galle and Matara districts in the evening or at night.
There will be mainly rainless weather in the rest of the island.
