The Public Health Inspectors Union of Sri Lanka will be reporting in-sick from Friday (24) and will be stepping away from all duties as a part of their on-going strike action.

Its Secretary Mahendra Balasuriya said the decision was made the PHIUSL Executive Committee on Thursday (23) morning.

Today is the 09th day of the trade union action launched by the Public Health Inspectors Union of Sri Lanka against the gazette issued with regard to the quarantine regulation, which they claim failed to empower PHIs in carrying out their duties related to COVID-19.
