Education Minister Akila Viraj Kariyawasam has directed school principals and Zonal Directors of Education to decide whether or not to open schools in disaster prone areas.
Meanwhile all schools in the Ratnapura, Dehiovita and Nivithigala educational zone will be closed today and tomorrow (22) due to the prevailing adverse weather condition.
