Secretary to the Prime Minister, Saman Ekanayake was summoned before the Police Division of the Presidential Commission to probe government irregularities in the last four years.
He is to provide a statement regarding the approved cabinet paper in connection to the leasing of the building which houses the Department of Agriculture.
A spokesperson at the commission stated that the cabinet paper was submitted by the Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.
Saman Ekanayake is to appear before the Police Division of the commission at 9 am today (August 27).
Meanwhile, Dr Anil Jasinghe. Director-General of Health Services is to appear before the commission’s police division to provide a statement regarding the alleged irregularities that occurred during the import of antibiotics.
