All shop owners have been requested to peacefully serve every customer who queues up, irrespective of the curfew, DIG Ajith Rohana said.
This request was made under the directives of Acting Inspector General of Police to avoid panic buying among the general public during non-curfew hours.
The government today (24) announced that the curfew in Colombo, Gampaha, Puttalam and the 5 districts of the Northern Province, where it was lifted earlier today (24), will be re-imposed at 2.00 pm. It was scheduled to go into force again at 12 noon.
Accordingly, curfew for the aforementioned districts will be in effect until 6 am on Friday (March 27).
