Permanent solutions are necessary for landslides-Uru Warige Wannila Aththo

Leader of the indigenous community, Uru Warige Wannila Aththo attended an event in Dambulla yesterday(June 26).

A tree planting campaign was held at the Ibbankatuwa area in Dambulla under the patronage of Uru Warige Wannila Aththo.

Uru Warige Wannila Aththo wisely noted that temporary remedies for landslides were not a solution and a permanent solution was necessary.

He added that countless institutes and ministries regarding the well being of environment and hazards gather and discuss solutions for natural hazards but to no avail.

He went on to note that a permanent premeditated plan was essential to oversee this issue.
