Passengers from Italy to be screened for Covid 19

The Ministry of Health says passengers arriving from Italy will be subjected to a special medical check at the Katunayake Airport, as Coronavirus has spread rapidly in Italy.

Senior Scientist of the Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Health, Specialist Dr. Sudath Samaraweera said all passengers from Italy will be checked for a period of 14 days, at their respective residences, even if they do not show any symptoms at the time of arrival.
