The Education Department states that graduates will be recruited within the month to fill over 1000 vacancies for teachers in the Western province. An official of the department said that the recruitment will be carried out according to the results of a placement test held recently.
He says that the results have already been released and that the eligible candidates have been called in for interviews next week. Teachers are yet to be recruited for the primary grades and for Tamil and Art subjects.
