The National Elections Commissions states that they will begin the distribution of temporary ID cards that they have received, with effect from today.
The Department of Registration of Persons has issued 300,000 temporary IDs for the upcoming Presidential polls. They were handed over to the National Elections Commission on the 9th (Saturday) of this month.
Meanwhile, the NEC has decided to extend the deadline for issuing temporary ID cards upto Wednesday.
