Cabinet has decided to appoint a sub-committee to study the recommendations made by the Sectoral Oversight Committee on Education and Human Resources Development with regard to the Batticaloa Campus.
The sub-committee will comprise the Ministers from Finance, City Planning, Water Supply and Higher Education, National Integration, Official Languages, Social Progress and Hindu Religious Affairs and Development Strategies and International Trade.
Meanwhile, MP Udaya Gammanpila called on Presidential Commission to probe irregularities in state institutions for the last 4 years and made a statement regarding the Batticaloa University.
The commission noted that that statement for over 1 and half hours provided important details regarding the Batticaloa Campus.
