A meeting between the Chairman of the Elections Commission Mahinda Deshapriya and the Commissioners of the elections commission is scheduled to be held today.
According to reports the meeting is set to focous on a number of matters including the Elpitiya PS election. The Elections Commission is also due to issue a gazette notification for the vacant parliamentary seat from Kurunegala.
Deshapriya noted that the district returning officer of Kurunegala is due to name a candidate to take up the vacant seat.
