President Maithripala Sirisena has ordered to provide maximum security for all the candidates who will be contesting the upcoming Presidential election. The National Security Council, headed by the head of state, held a meeting yesterday.
According to the President’s Media Division, the President issued the directive to security chiefs at the meeting.
