The Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) states that they will initiate legal action against 27 vendors who sold Wheat flour at a higher price. The CAA noted that officials conducted raids at over 50 locations during the past 24 hours.
The CAA reiterates that permission has not been granted to any company or merchant to increase the price of wheat flour. The CAA added that legal action was taken against 400 vendors during the last two occasions when prices were increased, illegally, by wheat flour producing companies.
