The National Building Research Organization (NBRO) has issued a landslide early warning for two more districts. The NBRO has issued advisories for DS Divisions in the Ratnapura and Matara districts for potential threats of landslides, slope failures, rock falls, cutting failures and ground subsidence.
Accordingly, residents of Kalawana, Ayagama, Kiriella, Ehaliyagoda, Ratnapura, Kuruwita DS Divisions in the Ratnapura district and Athuraliya, Pitabeddara DS Divisions in the Matara district are requested to remain vigilant.
