Justice Ministry to investigate delays in cases

The Justice Ministry has initiated a review to investigate the delays in the hearing of cases. According to the Secretary to the Ministry J.J. Rathnasiri, this is due to information received regarding a large number of delays that have been taking place.

 

The Secretary further added that information has been received on overpopulation at certain jails across the country, stating that steps will be taken following discussions, to control the situation.
