The presidential candidate of the New Democratic Front, Sajith Premadasa attended a public meeting in the Passara area yesterday (October 13). UNP Ministers, MPs, local government members, and area residents attended the meeting.
Minister Sajith Premadasa noted that he is ashamed of the daily wages that are paid to the estate sector employees. He admitted that the current wages are not adequate enough for them to live. He questioned how they could feed their families with this low income they earn.
He went on to note that it was a serious issue and promised that he would take care of the estate sector employees.
