Hemasiri Fernando appointed as President’s Chief of Staff

People’s Bank Chairman Hemasiri Fernando was appointed as President Maithripala Sirisena’s Chief of Staff today, the President’s Media Division said.

The post of the Chief of Staff fell vacant since the arrest of I.H.A. Mahanama, who is currently in remand custody over bribery and corruption charges.
