Health authorities on alert to avert dengue

The National Dengue Control Unit (NDCU) warned of a possible surge in the number of cases within the next few weeks since there were a lot of mosquito breeding places observed by it in the country.

The NDCU, in a statement, said as many as 22,902 Dengue cases were identified by November 4, and 504 of them were reported within the first four days of this month.

Asserting the country is gradually recovering from the Covid pandemic, the NDCU said a Dengue epidemic should be averted
