Campaigning activities for the 2019 presidential election is set to conclude at midnight.
Commissioner-General of the National Elections Commission Saman Sri Rathnayake noted that the Presidential candidates and the political parties have been informed on multiple occasions regarding the deadline.
Restrictions will also be imposed on the local election offices following midnight tonight. Rathnayake also stated that a special plan is in place to remove election cutouts and posters.
