DGHS approval required for essential workers to exit isolated zones

Permission should be obtained from the Director General of Health Services if staff members of essential services, living in areas where travel restrictions are imposed, are to report to work.

The Ministry of Health said strict travel restrictions have been imposed in a number of selected areas with the intention of controlling the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak.

The entry or exit to those areas is strictly controlled and the inability to bring in the necessary personnel to run essential services in other areas has become a problem, a statement from the Director General of Health Services added.

In case of an urgent need to bring staff from areas where travel restrictions have been imposed to carry out essential services, the Director General of Health Services should be informed and permission should be sought accordingly, it added.
