Dengue threatens Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, Ratnapura and Galle districts

Dengue is spreading in 5 districts due to the rainy season in the country. Community Specialist at the National Dengue Eradication Unit, Dr Prashila Samaraweera noted that the Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, Ratnapura and Galle districts are at risk.

She added that over 19,000 dengue cases have been reported across the island in the past 5 months. She advised the general public to keep their neighborhood clean to avoid the spread of dengue.
