The Ministry of Health today said a special dengue prevention program around the Gampaha District will take place on both the 15th and 16th of August. Community Specialist of the Dengue Eradication Unit of the Ministry of Health, Dr Priscilla Samaraweera said the program will take place in Mahara, Kadawatha, Seeduwa and surrounding areas.
36,700 dengue patients were reported so far this year with a majority from the Western, Southern and Sabaragamuwa Districts.
