Total Covid-19 cases confirmed in Sri Lanka went past the grim milestone of 13,000 today (07) as 257 more persons were tested positive for the virus.
According to the Department of Government Information, all the fresh cases have been identified as close contacts of the earlier patients from the Minuwangoda-Peliyagoda cluster which has registered a record total of 9,746 cases since the beginning of October.
