Court grants permission for PTL Chairman to travel overseas

Chairman of the Perpetual Treasuries Limited Jeffrey Aloysius has been granted permission to travel to India and Canada by Colombo Chief Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne.

The Magistrate ordered that his passport, which is in the possession of the court, be released on a bond of Rs. 1 million. The decision was taken following a request by Aloysius to travel to attend to business matters.
