Confirmed COVID-19 cases in Sri Lanka rises to 2805

23 people tested positive for the corona-virus on Monday (27) in Sri Lanka.

According to the Department of Government Information 01 Sri Lankan returnee from Saudi Arabia tested positive for COVID-19.

In addition 05 Sri Lankan returnees from Qatar also tested positive.

The remaining 17 COVID-19 cases reported on Monday (27) were inmates held at the Senapura Quarantine Facility.

Accordingly, there are 673 people being treated for COVID-19 in Sri Lanka while the total number of confirmed cases stands at 2805.

2121 COVID-19 patients made a full recovery and were discharged from hospital.

On Sunday (26) 12 COVID-19 cases were reported and the Department of Government Information said 1851 PCR tests were carried out.
