The coconut cultivation board has decided to make the registration of land on which coconuts are cultivated, mandatory.

Chairman of the coconut cultivation Board, Kapila Yakandawala stated the objective of registering the lands is to obtain information and data with regards to coconut cultivation more effectively.The Board noted that in the future any subsidies which are awarded for coconut cultivation will be granted only to lands which are registered.
