Another quarantine facility at army camp in Vavuniya

Sri Lanka Army has established another quarantine centre at the Infantry Regiment Army Camp in Pampaimadu, Vavuniya.

It is reported that this facility is an addition to the quarantine centre at the women’s corps camp in Pampaimadu.

Security forces said, a total of 134 individuals, including those who arrived in the country from Europe and Middle East, were brought to this new quarantine facility.

On March 13, army personnel had brought 213 persons to the quarantine facility previously set up at camp in Pampaimadu. However, residents of the area had staged protests against this quarantine facility.
