A total number of 102 trains are scheduled to be operated within the Western Province (WP) from today, the Sri Lanka Railway Station Masters’ Union (SLRSMU) said.

They said 70 trains were on track during last week and 32 more trains were added this week to run in the WP.

Accordingly, 36 trains on the main line from Ambepussa, Meerigama, Weyangoda, Gampaha and Ragama. 40 trains from Aluthgama, Kalutara South and Panadura on the coastal line. Ten trains from Avissawella, Kosgama and Padukka on the Kelani Valley line and 16 trains will run from Kochchikade and Negombo on the Puttalam line.

SLRSMU said the trains will be operated to and from Colombo Fort and Maradana railway stations on the said railway lines.
