Chief Justice Priyasad Dep, who is currently serving as the 45th Chief Justice of Sri Lanka, is slated to retire from his position today (12).
He was appointed to the Chief Justice position on 2nd March 2017 and he had been serving in the judicial service for over 40 years.
Meanwhile, the new Chief Justice, who will be taking over the position, is to be announced today.
