Twelve more Sri Lanka Navy personnel who had been receiving treatment for COVID-19 infection have been discharged from the hospitals following being tested negative in PCR tests.
Seven among them had been receiving treatment at the Homagama Hospital, three at the Mulleriyawa Hospital, and two at the Infectious Diseases Hospital, stated Sri Lanka Navy.
Following several PCR tests conducted on them has confirmed that the Navymen does not carry the COVID-19 virus anymore and was discharged from hospitals yesterday (16).
With the 12 new cases, a total of 189 Navy personnel have recovered and discharged so far.
All Navy personnel discharged from hospitals will undergo a further quarantine period of 14 days.
