Sri Lanka has reported 4 more deaths from the coronavirus pandemic today (19), the Director-General of Health Services confirmed a short while ago.
Accordingly, the total number of COVID-19 deaths reported in the country has hiked to 73.
The details of the deceased are as follows,
01.A 70-year-old male, resident of Colombo 10 succumbed to the virus on admission to a private hospital in Colombo. The cause of death was identified as Covid-19 related pneumonia.
02. A 27-year-old female from Colombo 15 was pronounced dead at the Mulleriyawa Base Hospital. The cause of death has been identified as liver failure due to Covid-19 xinfection.
03. A 59-year-old female, a resident of Pokunuwita, Kalutara was reported dead at her residence. The cause of death was ruled as High Blood Pressure exacerbated by Covid-19 infection.
04. An 86-year-old male from Haltota in Kalutara passed away at his residence. The cause of death was identified as chest infection due to Covid-19.
