The Department of Meteorology has issued a statement saying that there will be rain or thundershowers in the northe and easte provinces, Anuradhapura and Puttalam districts at some places during the evening or at night.
The announcement states that there is mainly rainless weather in the rest of the island.
People are kindly requested to take necessary measures to reduce the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
