Another person has tested positive for COVID-19 today (30), moving Sri Lanka’s cases count to 1,559.
The Ministry of Health confirmed that this new patient is a navy person who is undergoing quarantine.
Earlier today (30), a total of 27 coronavirus patients were discharged from Colombo East Base Hospital, Navy Hospital, Minuwangoda Base Hospital and Homagama Base Hospital as they have recovered completely. This brought the recoveries tally to 781.
The number of actives cases currently under medical stands at 768, according to the Epidemiology Unit.
